Helping the Amur LeopardsTo help conserve our population, research centers such as Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA) are monitoring habitats and the population. Also, ALTA has been studying the feeding ecology, trying to figure out the best way to save our dying population. To have a close eye out for our population, several research centers have been carrying out radio-collaring studies looking at the dispersal of leopards.

Saving the Amur LeopardsALTA has been doing research about a disease risk and a canine distemper virus, which is being heavily investigated as it is a threat to our Amur Leopard population. There is further research going on in zoos for Amur Leopard causes of mortality and general health. Studies have also been continued to be carried out, looking at the general variation within both the wild and zoo populations.
